The two flags of Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland has two flags which have been used for various events since the countries founding. The plain diagonal cross is St. Patricks saltire and is used as part of the UK flag and for some sporting events. Meanwhile, the other flag was used by the Northern Irish government until it was abolished in the 1970s. The capital city is Belfast, one of the best places to live in the UK per a 2018 survey.
The country has various troubles during the late 1900s but now has reached a period of relative stability. The country attracts tourists and is a large business destination. The country continues to build upon its industrial roots.
