Mesozoic Era

The dinosaurs lived between 228 and 65.5 million years ago. Which falls within the time period is known as the Mesozoic era.

The Mesozoic era can be split into three periods:

• The Triassic Period

  (252-200 million years ago)

• The Jurassic Period

  (200-145 million years ago)

• The Cretaceous Period

  (145-65.5 million years ago)
