India is a very fast growing country with many large cities. It is the second most populous country in the world.

The capital city of India is New Delhi with a population of 46 million people. It is a city with a diverse culture and history with many languages being spoken. Forts and monuments across the city show New Delhi’s place as the cultural and political hub of India. Alongside this, Mumbai is the financial center of India, home to the Indian Reserve Bank. 20 million people call the city home and the bases of various multi–national companies can be found here. Mumbai is also the home to Bollywood, a huge film studio.

Calcutta is the historical capital of India, mainly during the British colonial period. This history is shown by the large marble palaces that extend across the city. The population of 14 million swells rapidly by 5 million each day as people commute into the city for work. The rush of business can also be seen in Hyderabad. Known as the IT capital of India, the city has grown quickly through various business opportunities.
