Regina is the capital city of Saskatchewan (and the
city where I grew up!)
It is the 16th largest city in Canada with just shy of
200,000 people. It's your typical prairie city with short, sunny
summers and long, sunny winters. Yep, lots of sun and clear skies -- but still lots of snow.
One of the most interesting things about the city (I
think) is that it has a fairly large RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted
Police) training facility -- you can watch the RCMP musical ride.
And nearby Moose Jaw (yes, that's the REAL name of the town) has an air
force base where the "Snowbirds" are based (they do very neat
air shows).
